Now listen to both together and tweak as necessary. Next set the right channel to what sounds best to you. First set the left channel sliders to where it sounds best. INITIALLY GENENERALLY SET THE record levels around -20/-15 (at first)ĪDJUST the EQ. Next connect the patchcord after setting VOL LEVEL of Youtube source. WHY? Well, because you must set the volume of the youtube clip at the vol level which GIVES YOU THE CLEAREST/CLEANEST SIGNAL WITHOUT DISTORTION, this will vary for each youtube source clip as it just depends on the source's level.ĭO NOT SET THE VOL AT MAX! Set it for clearest and cleanest sound which will likely be nearest the lowest setting as opposed to the max!

Tapedeck mac portable#
perhaps not the best portable Sony ever but still an excellent device.*flame* i can say the "WM-DD" series by Sony may be the better choice. but i would think about a "new" soundcard after finding a nice deck. but, of course, an high-quality external soundcard should be better anyway.
Tapedeck mac pro#
don't have a Mac book pro myself but i guess at Apple did choose some "slightly better than average" integrated audio electronics. *wink*ĮDIT/ADD: Mac book pro integrated audio outputs should not be too bad. and, moreover, you will be able to tune the recording levels (and other recording parameters) much more easily by doing a short test recording without the need to stop, rewind and replay the tape to listen to the result. eventually a 3-heads deck so that you can directly monitor in real-time the sound you are putting on tape just during the recording (by listening directly from the tapedeck's output). Of course, to get a very nice recording from any source (not only from mp3 files) so that you will be able to really give some more life to your digital files, you will need at least a mid to high quality deck.
