The northern entrance is on Route 2, south of Pewter City, and the southern entrance is on Route 11, near the eastern edge of Vermilion City (although in Generation II, it is located within Vermilion City). It is lastly noted that this tunnel was the temporary home for a number of Nihilego as a result of the outpouring of Ultra Beasts that occurred during the events of the Ultra Crisis, and may possibly be used as a favorite arrival point for the species in the future. Get access to Diggelt, Van family records. Diglett's Cave (Japanese: Digda's Hole) is a long tunnel dug by wild Diglett and Dugtrio in Kanto. You will also battle Team Skull with Hau here.
In Diglett Tunnel, you will officially be introduced to the Aether Foundation (who will warn you about Team Skull ). This small cave will lead you straight to Route 9, which just so happens connects to Konikoni City (the home of Kahuna Olivia ). The winding nature of it can make it a bit hard to navigate without constantly running into Diglett, but trainers will probably have no choice but to brave the journey through it regardless if they want a chance at fighting against the Kahuna of Akala Island so they may continue on with their Island Challenge. The tunnel itself is fairly barren in term of wild Pokémon, generally containing only the Zubat that roost in it and the numerous Diglett responsible for the creation of the tunnel in the first place (though it has recently become a nesting spot for wild Larvitar as well).
This massive tunnel was built many years ago through the combined efforts of people and Alolan Diglett over the span of many years and serves as a monument to the cooperation between the two parties that allowed for the tunnel’s construction to occur smoothly.
